[Immediately FREE] Wholesome Weekend Date Movie (July 1 2016)

I couldn't think of a good film for this weekend, so I had decided I'd rather not recommend any film than pick one that wasn't up to my high standards (and weird tastes). Then this film jumped into my mind AND I found it at YouTube as well.

I'm not sure how much cuddling or "warm fuzzies" it will inspire BUT if you have long fingernails that need cutting, this movie will help. It's a "nail biter" from beginning to end.

I'm not going to tell you much more about it because I don't want to ruin one second of you discovering it or the "trip" it will take you on.

I'll just tell you that it stars a great ensemble cast led by James Stewart and Richard Attenborough and it's called, "The Flight of the Phoenix".

Ignore the phone, make sure you've got lots of munchies and click on the LINK to YouTube to see it NOW and for FREE (as usual).

And I wish you all a great weekend, whether you're celebrating "Canada Day" (Canada's Birthday on July 1st) or  "Independence Day" (America's Birthday on July 4th).

Sincerely, Laura-Lee  (Rahn)

[Immediately FREE] Wholesome Weekend Date Movie (June 24, 2016)

Slightly sexist, seriously sentimental and substantially silly.

You'll want to make sure that your funny-bone is ready for a good workout while watching "Operation Petticoat" because this movie is mostly about having a good time.

During World War 2 when a group of army nurses gets "stranded" on a submarine full of men there are lots of laughs, yet still a few tense moments and plot twists.

Cary Grant is the "by the book" Captain and Tony Curtis his new officer in charge of "procurement". And he will do whatever it takes to get his submarine whatever it needs, no matter who he has to trade with or what he has to trade (which mostly means doing things not "by the book").

Put aside some time to have some F-U-N this weekend, because that's mostly what this film is about.

Stuff to Watch this Weekend on YouTube APRIL 1 2016

For this weekend I'm going to give a few of my favorites recommendations from YouTube. (some from my channel - some from other peoples)

Remember: to watch for the Ratings - some are for ADULTS (even if they are older and in Black & White)

YouTube Free Film "People Will Talk"

FREE FILM YouTube "Love Affair"

YouTube FREE Film "Dark Journey"

YouTube Free Film "Lady Hamilton"

Change gears a bit (if you've seen enough films) and watch Rick Steves do a tour of some of the most beautiful European Places & their different Christmas customs. Fascinating to see how others celebrate and will put you back into the "warm fuzzy" feeling of Christmas. Especially with Rick's calm, humorous & interesting way of showing us around. (Good for the entire family!)

Wishing you all a good weekend.

"The Trap" Full Film for FREE from YouTube

Found film "The Trap" for FREE at YouTube.

The Trap Full Film FREE from YouTube

Oscar-caliber performances by Brits, Oliver Reed & Rita Tushingham about a French Canadian trapper who buys himself a wife (struck silent when she was a child, due to witnessing a raid by Native Indians). He takes her out to his cabin in the Canadian wilderness, which she is NOT thrilled about.

She originally keeps trying to escape but gradually they start realizing how much they really need each other to survive.

This movie is definitely a MUST SEE! I give it the highest rating I give any film (9/10  *********) Also has to have a PG due to some violence but otherwise the entire family can see it.

I couldn't add it to my "Complete Films Play List" at my YouTube Channel fast enough. Go immediately and let yourself really enjoy a movie that will sweep you away by its performances & story within mere seconds.

My Complete Films Play List

Realized my Play List of Full Films I watch (and save) at YouTube is getting long and full of very good movies. So I thought I would "tidy" it up, add some comments, some ratings (see the amount of asterisks out of a possible 10) and then share them with you.

Although most are for adults they are still "safe" for viewing by your entire family and will be enjoyed by men & women alike.

Hope you enjoy them. There is something for every persons' tastes. From Romantic - Tear Jerkers to Thrillers.

Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Sabbath as we approach tomorrow to focus on the Lord and leave all our worries in His big, capable, comforting, compassionate hands ... for at least one day.

Love Always; for my Friends.
Sincerely, Laura-Lee

"CROSSROAD" and Coincidences (Movie Review)

Here's a movie gem I just found if you're looking for something good to watch for the week end with the whole family. It's called, "Crossroad" , was released in December 2012 and directed and written by Shervin Youssefian.

 SHERVIN YOUSSEFIAN

"How many coincidences does it take before something ceases to be a coincidence?"

This is a question I have asked many people when debating if God exists and if he intervenes in our everyday lives. So I was pleased when I was watching a movie trailer that asked that exact same question.

"Crossroad" tells the true story of what happened to a group of people who randomly met one morning at a small dinner thinking they were each there for their own different reasons and personal purposes. However, when the dinner is suddenly held up by two gunmen they rapidly begin to discover that their lives are undeniably and amazingly intertwined and they actually have very much in common.

As coincidence is added to coincidence and the links in their lives proves to be remarkably intricate, even the most hardened skeptic has difficulty denying there is more going on than first meets the eye. As each person makes individual choices, it only reveals deeper links between them and they each must personally decide if they believe the events are random coincidences or the hand of God and make life or death decisions based on their conclusions.

This film is well acted, fast paced and most of all suspenseful in a gripping way. It reminded me in atmosphere and intensity of the Audrey Hepburn thriller, "Wait Until Dark", except the events in "Crossroad" are real  (as hard as that is to believe). It catches you quickly from the beginning and the events are so amazing, it is impossible to guess or anticipate what will happen next. But whatever you believe, you definitely will wish to stay to the end to find out what will happen next.

It has some violence in it, but ultimately is appropriate for viewing by all except the very youngest and most sensitive members of the family. Whether you watch this movie merely for it's entertainment value or you wish to experience an amazing, remarkable and inspiring true story, you won't want to miss this one. (Even if you believe finding this review was just a coincidence).
