FREE Wholesome Weekend Date Movie - December 10, 2021

This is the feature that just can't be stopped. People often ask me, "When are you going to start recommending movies on the weekend again?" but I'm not considering it a great priority right now with Jesus soon to return and the Rapture of the Church imminent. Watching an entire movie is something I rarely do anymore because my days and nights are so full of other activities.

That being said, I stumbled onto this really great movie as a YouTube recommendation and it was "just what the Doctor ordered" and I immediately thought to mention it here.

Time Changer is the 2002 film about a professor at a Christian College in 1890 who writes a book he is hoping the faculty members of the College will all endorse. However, there is a rule in place that any endorsements must be unanimous among the faculty. There is one dissenter.

The thesis of his book is that the Ten Commandments need to be used as the basis for a civilized and moral society. ALL Christians would believe that, right? But the issue the other Professor has is that the book doesn't blatantly state that apart from the authority of Jesus this is a futile belief.

Nit-picker! I mean stealing is WRONG no matter who says it. Right?

Ultimately the Professor steps into a TIME MACHINE and gets hurled into OUR time period to have a look around for a few days, check out how we live and the fruits of his book and beliefs. This movie is rife with social commentary on the Church and TONS of "fish out of water" comedy.

I think that is what I miss a lot in Christian movies these days. Joy and humor. They are often depicting End Times events or people going through very difficult times and rarely do people even crack a smile.

I've gone on long enough. It's time for you to take some time to enjoy yourself.
