Since it's Canada's 150th Birthday today and this is a Blog dedicated to Entertainment, I thought I would dedicate a post to The National Film Board of Canada.
The NFB has been funding short filmmaking and creative endeavors that encourage Canadian culture so long and so well that the Academy Awards gave them a special Oscar.
Short film makers funded by the NFB have won more Academy Awards than from any other country.
So, to our friends next "door" to us (aka. America))
"Yes. Canada does have a culture uniquely her own and we thank you for noticing."
And BTW, you have a Happy Birthday too.
Below you will find several Links to the NFB and some of my personal favorite short films.
Then head over to YouTube for one of the best films about Canada's history you will ever see (even though it was made by English people).
I've recommended and reviewed it on this blog before.
Sincerely, Laura-Lee

NOTE: The other Links to the Trap have been deleted by YouTube, but I discovered the 2020 one. It's allowed because it's in a foreign language. HOWEVER,they have left the ENGLISH on at a good volume in the background, so you can still hear it. PLUS, a large amount of this movie is just visual because Rita Tushingham's character is mute. So go now. I hope it's still available when you've stopped by. LLR
